    The Wii could possibly dominate the gaming market. Nintendo have come from nowhere to shaping the future of video game consoles. With ‘ipod’ type styling the light weight controller and slim, sexy unit both have a touch of class. But the Wii isn’t all about looks, in fact with motion sensitive controllers it’s changing the way we play games. Playing video games is no longer a sitting on the sofa button pressing exercise, but a more social, intuitive and surprisingly physically engaging activity.

    The Wii controller is a slim wand similar to a television remote, connected wirelessly to the console, with built-in innovative motion sensor that detects movement and rotation in three dimensions. The Wii console will play all Nintendo GameCube generation games, and will also have downloadable access to 20 years of favorite original titles. The trigger is easy to control and it seems able to sense any range of movement, even when not pointed at the screen.

    As this is a new console, supply will be limited to start with and also this means the selections of games will be limited. Think back to early xbox 360 release days.
